Global Design Project #33

It's a busy time here with the Retired List out and a new catalogue just around the corner but I still found some time to play along with this week's Global Design Project challenge.  This week's challenge #33 was a colour combination, why not visit the website and have a look at what the Design Team have come up with?

I used the Retiring Timeless Elegance papers for the basis of my card and stamped the Blended Bloom image onto watercolour paper and coloured it with Calypso Coral ink and my Aquapainter.

I also used my Aquapainter and a hint of Whisper White craft ink to highlight some areas of the flower, and my Calypso Coral marker to darken others. The centre is coloured with Crushed Curry ink. I also used a Wink of Stella to give a hint of sparkle to the flower.

The sentiment was die cut from Night of Navy cardstock using the Greeting Thinlets which are also on the Retiring List sadly.

If you would like to have a look at what's still available on the Retired List, just visit my online shop using the link below.

OnStage 2016 Day Two

The main OnStage event kicked off bright and early on Saturday morning, this is what the room looked like before and after 380 demos arrived.

We started off with some video from the US event in Salt Lake City, it was great to see Shelli back on stage after she took a year off to serve on a mission.
We saw the unveiling of the NEW In Colours for 2016-2018 and of course the new Annual Catalogue which goes live in June. Then it was time for some crafting with the new products!
There were lots of display boards with new products and inspiration. We also saw lots of fantastic stamping demonstrations.
How gorgeous are these papers? They have a metallic copper effect to them which really catches the light. Copper is a huge trend in the new catalogue.
I LOVE these new In Colour Ribbons, I can't wait to get every colour!!
There are also several new Project Life Kits, and these kits have to be the best so far!
This is the team having a break during one of the craft sessions. These are our make & takes from the day.
It was the girls first time at a Stampin' Up event and they loved the whole day, especially Prize Patrol!! This was just some of the goodies I received at the weekend, it was as well we brought an extra suitcase to get everything home!
We had a lovely meal out in the evening and even squeezed in some shopping on Sunday morning before catching our plane home!

The next Onstage event will be in November and the team and myself are already making plans to attend and I would love you to join us! You can find more information on becoming a demonstrator HERE or send me an email if you have any questions.

Onstage 2016

I had a fantastic weekend at Stampin' Up's first Onstage Local event in Telford last week.
I flew to Birmingham with some of my team, the Shamrock Stampers, on Friday morning. Emma was already in England and was meeting us there. This was us waiting in the airport as our flight was slightly delayed.

The afternoon was spent at a crafty reward day laid on by my upline Michelle. She went to so much trouble to make the day special for us, there was a yummy afternoon tea, fun and games and of course lots of crafting!

We had lots of fun taking photos with some props Michelle placed on the table for us and even Chris from Demo Support stopped in to say hello.

Afterwards there was only time for a quick change of clothes before I was to the Centrestage event which Stampin' Up put on for Silver Elite titles and above.
Doesn't the table setting look lovely?
We did some leadership training, sharing ideas and tips for running our business, then we were treated to the most delicious meal.

And of course we had to take lots and lots of pictures!!

We received some lovely gifts from Stampin' Up on the night including a 6 month planner and this cute bag.  The bookmark has some of the new In Colour ribbon attached, I know this is going to be a favourite in the new catalogue.

I'll be back later with the second part of my post about Onstage 2016

Going, Going, Gone!!

The Retired List is NOW available!! To make way for all the fantastic products coming in the New Annual Catalogue launching in June, Stampin' Up need to say goodbye to others and this is your last chance to order your favourites before they're gone for good.. You can purchase from the list right now and there are some fantastic deals which you don't want to miss as these items are only available WHILE STOCKS LAST.

There are two ways to see the Retired List:

I also want to share my swaps and team gifts from Onstage 2016 with you all. I was so busy getting everything ready for the weekend that I completely forgot to take pictures of everything before I left so had to make do with some quick snaps taken in our hotel room with my phone.
I used the Summer Silhouettes stamp, a selection of inkpads and my brayer to create an ombre effect on Whisper White card for my swaps. I added my backround colour first with the brayer, and then stamped my image in two shades of co-ordinating ink and then overstamped with Whisper White Craft Ink. The sentiment was heat embossed with Versamark and white embossing powder.
I had so much fun making these that I just couldn't stop and made 60 altogether in a variety of colours, although Bermuda Bay was definitely the most popular. I'm so sad that this stamp is on the Retiring List, it was one of my favourites.  Here are some of the swaps I received in return.
These were the 3D projects, I also received a beautifully made ribbon box, but there was no way of transporting it home without taking it apart, which would have been a shame so I gave it to my roommate Nicole.
I also brought away some gifts for my team, my roommate and my upline. I stamped some Mini Muslin Bags with an image from the Timeless Textures set and Rose Red ink and  embossed a sentiment from the You're So Lovely with gold embossing powder. It's hard to see in this photo but I also embossed a pearl to match.
Inside was a little friendship sign, some Cath Kidston handcream and every crafter essential item - chocolate!!

I'll be back soon with all the details from Onstage 2016!
