Ombre Butterflies for Global Design Project #024

Good Morning, I have created today's card for the Global Design Project #024. We had to CASE a card from one of the Design Team, Michelle Last who makes the most stunning cards and is also my Stampin' Up upline.

I took inspiration from Michelle's use of butterflies and the colour blue to create my card today.

 

I die cut three butterflies from Whisper White cardstock using the Bold Butterflies Framelits and added ink to each one with my brayer. I used Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo as my colours, I could have cut the butterflies directly from cardstock but I prefer the softer effect that brayering gives the butterflies.

 

 

I used the new Timeless Textures stamp set for my backround, the splatter stamp was embossed in gold which is hard to see in the picture. My final touch was to add some sparkle to my butterflies with my clear Wink of Stella pen.

For my card today I choose  the Pedal Pusher stamp set for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I just love this set and I know it's going to be popular.

I stamped the bicycle with black ink then used a Blender Pen and my inkpads to add colour. The patterned paper is from the A Cherry on Top DSP stack.

Mojo Monday #433

It's been a while since I have had time to take part in any challenges but I loved the sketch for this week's challenge over on Mojo Monday so much that I actually made two cards based on the sketch.

The first card features the Going Places Paper and co-ordinating Going Global stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue. I embossed the greeting in silver and added a rhinestone to the centre of the compass for a bit of extra sparkle. I think this would make a cute Valentine card, don't you?

 

 For the second card I used the Cherry on Top papers from the Annual catalogue paired with the Hello Sale-a-bration stamp which is free with an order of £45 until the 15th February. I stamped the sentiment with Watermelon Wonder ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it out by hand.

I used dimensionals to raise the greeting and the little party hat for a 3D effect.
