Hello Baby

I made this card for this weeks Global Design Challenge but sadly didn't link it up in time but I still wanted to share it with you.  This week's challenge was a colour one: Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz.

I thought these soft subtle colours were perfect for a baby card. I used my Aquapainters to colour some watercolour paper with the three colours of ink, before punching out some hearts.  I coloured a larger piece to use as my mount.

I stamped some Whisper White card with Soft Sky ink using my Gorgeous Grunge stamp before adding some Silver Metallic Thread and the greeting which is from the Tin of Cards stamp set. I think the finished card would be perfect for a boy or girl don't you?

Mojo Monday 418

I haven't been around much the last few days after I hurt my back at the weekend. I've been relaxing and taking it easy although I did still manage to get a bit of crafting done and today I want to share my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge with you.

I have stayed true to the sketch except when it came to the stars, I have scattered mine across the card rather than keeping them to the left side as in the sketch.

I have used the Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper paired with some Gold Foil and Gold Cord, the trees are from the Wonderland set and were stamped with black Ink.
I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder onto a strip of vellum and wrapped it around the centre panel to secure.

I also added a touch of gold to the inside greeting.
Here is a list of supplies I've used to create this card which can be found in my online shop, just click on the image.

World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop

Welcome to another Pinkies Blog Hop! As it's World Card Making Day today, we hope everyone will get some time to craft, and we've created some lovely projects to help inspire you to create your own beautiful card. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Today's cards feature the Flurry of Wishes Bundle from the Holiday Catalogue. The girls in my card classes couldn't wait to get started on their Christmas cards so these are the cards we made in class last week.

For the first card I stamped the large snowflake images onto Whisper White card with Versamark and embossed with Silver Embossing powder and the smaller snowflakes with Soft Sky ink.

The sentiment has been stamped with Island Indigo ink. I matted the Whisper White onto Silver Foil Sheet and then onto Island Indigo card. The finishing touch was some Winter Wonderland Embellishments which are like little miniature snowflakes with a diamond in the centre.

The second card also has stamped snowflakes, this time I stamped with Island Indigo ink and punched the snowflakes out with the matching punch.

I created the back round by embossing  a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder before adding the snowflakes and greeting which is cut out from the Bitty Banners Die. I tied some Silver Cording Trim to the top of the card which picks up the silver from the Winter Wonderland Embellishments.

I hope you were inspired by my cards today and find even more inspiration as you continue onto Kim's blog to see what she has made.

Trick or Treat

For me one of the best things about the colder weather and darker nights is that Halloween isn't far away. I love Halloween and I've been busy buying decorations for the house for the past few weeks even though we have loads already.
Today I want to share these cute little Halloween treat boxes with you.

I love the detailed stamps of the Witches Night set and stamped  the Trick or Treat image with Basic Black ink before cutting out. I die cut some pillow boxes in Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive cardstock and stamped them with the matching inks and the Dots For Days stamp before adding a Spider Web Doily

I can't decide if I should make some more and give them out to the Trick or Treaters or keep them for the table at our Halloween party.

Here are the supplies I've used in this project, just click on the photo if you would like to purchase anything I've used.
