Beautiful Butterflies

Good morning did you wake up to snow this morning? Although other parts of Northern Ireland have seen several inches over the last few days, we only have a light sprinkling, not enough for a snow day much to my girls disappointment.

I want to share a card from this weeks card class with you today. It is cased from a card I saw on Pinterest and features the stunning Painted Blooms DSP and the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies from the New Spring/Summer catalogue which is now available.

After cutting the butterfly from Blushing Bride cardstock, I inked up the edges with a sponge dauber and some Rose Red ink before adding a rosette cut from the trim in the Artisan Embellishment kit. We had this trim available in last years catalogue and I'm so glad to see it back in such a pretty Spring shade.

The greeting is from the Butterfly Basics set which is available to purchase as a bundle with the Butterfly dies for a 15% saving on the normal purchase price.

Don't forget to check out this week's deals over in my online shop - there are some gorgeous ribbons and punches on offer for one week only.

Starry Starry Night

Today I want to share a card featuring a sneak peek of some new Sale-a-bration product. Sale-a-bration starts on the 6th January and is a fantastic opportunity to get free goodies when you shop, host or join and I think this year's products are the best yet!
I was asked to be on the Design Team for Stampin Up's recent Sale-a-bration tour and I was given some papers to play with called "Irresistibly Yours".
These are white papers with a glossy white pattern which is perfect for all sorts of colouring techniques which reveal the pattern. There are dots, flowers, stripes, leaves, stars and a scalloped fan designs and straight away I was drawn to the star design with the idea of creating a night sky.

I used sponge daubers to colour the paper using three shades of blue ink- Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Soft Sky. I started with the darkest and blended each layer into the next, the stars are embossed and so resist the ink.
I cut a star from silver Glimmer paper with the Star framelits and the greeting is from A Dozen thoughts.
I will have lots more sneak peeks to share with you soon.

Stampin Up Northern Ireland Sale-a-bration tour

I recently attended this fun filled day to launch the upcoming Sale-a-bration event which starts on January 6th. The day was hosted by Paula and Kelly from the UK Head Office and Kelly had dressed up to get us in the Christmas mood.

We got to see all the brilliant products you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration and had a chance to stamp with one of the new stamp sets, I know you're going to love it!

This was the pretty decoration on our table

There were lots of samples on display including some by yours truly. I had been asked back in October if I would design a series of projects for the tour with one of the new products but the whole thing had to be kept secret so there were a few surprised faces at my table when my name appeared on screen.

We had a great day chatting, swapping and crafting and I can't wait to share the new products with you all.
