OnStage 2015 in Brussels

As I mentioned in my last post I'm just home from a fantastic four day trip to Brussels for Stampin' Up's first OnStage Live event.  It was great to get together with my friends and team mates for 3 days of fun, chat and crafting.
One of the things demos like to do when they get together is exchange swaps. I made two sets of swaps this year, a Santa gift bag and a card front.
And these are some of the swaps I received in return, there were so many beautiful ideas shared.
There were lots of 3D items as well, I love the pink flower badge from one of my teammates as well as the cute little easel at the back.
We received lots of goodies over the 3 day event with a goody bag, Prize Patrol and All Attendee giveaways. I just about managed to squeeze everything back into my suitcase for the flight home!
On our first evening, Demos holding the title of Silver Elite of above were invited to a special recognition event on board the Pureliner 2, enjoying dinner and entertainment. We were thoughly spoilt the whole night.

We got our first look at the NEW Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure with lots of fantastic new products inside, you're going to love it!!
We did find a little time to take in the sights of Brussels, the window displays never cease to amaze me.
But of course the best part of any trip is spending time with friends, we shared so many laughs during the event.

If you are interested in joining Stampin' Up and coming along to our next Onstage event in Telford on 16th April 2016, you can find more details HERE.

Hot Chocolate Tag a Bag Gift Box

Hello again, I'm just home from a fantastic few days in Brussels for Stampin' Up's first Onstage Live event and I will have loads to share with you over the next few days but I want to start with the gift I made for my upline Michelle.

I covered a Tag a Bag Gift Box with some Merry Moments paper and Burlap Ribbon.

Inside there were two jar of hot chocolate mix with some marshmallows and chocolate pieces. I stamped the name of my upline and her husband onto the wooden spoons with the Alphabet Rotary stamp and decorated the jars with more Merry Moments paper.

I finished off by wrapping the box with some Gold Cord and adding a die cut star topped with a jingle bell for the perfect festive touch.

Here are the products I used to make this project if you would like to make your own version.

Countdown to Christmas

I love making crafts to decorate my home and this Christmas Countdown Tree was no exception! I bought the MDF base last year at a craft fair and have used Stampin' Up's Merry Moments paper to cover the tree and number tiles.

I used the Little Letters Thinlets to cut my letters from Whisper White card and I added some Home For Christmas Enamel Dots which I think made the perfect "baubles", don't you?

The star for the top of the tree is actually a wooden Snowflake Element with a Rhinestone Embellishment in the centre. I can't wait to put this on display with my other Christmas decorations, the only problem will be stopping my girls arguing over whose turn it is to change the numbers each day.

Would you like to make your own Christmas Countdown Tree?
I am holding a class on Thursday 26th November where you can do just that. You will receive all materials and instructions to decorate your tree, along with some tea/coffee and a bit of cake!
Class fee is £25 and must be paid at the time of booking. Booking closes Monday 16th November.

Can't make it to class? You can still take part at home,  as I am also offering this project as a Class to Go. For the class price plus p&p, you will receive the kit and full instructions to make your own tree. Email me at mapleleafmemories@hotmail.co.uk to order your kit today.

Starry Night Sleigh Ride

Today I want to share a card from class a few weeks back, using Stampin' Up's Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies and co-ordinating stamp set Jingle All The Way. This was the first time I had a chance to use these dies and I had so much fun playing around with different ideas, look out for more cards with this set soon.

I cut out the house die from a piece of Whisper White and a piece of Gold Foil card before overlapping them. The shining star comes from the Every Blessing stamp set and I embossed it with Gold Embossing powder.
The small stars are punched from Gold Foil with the Confetti Stars Border Punch.

I used the negative piece of  Whisper White card for the inside and embossed the sentiment in Gold.

Here is the list of the supplies I used to make this card. All items can be purchased from my online shop by clicking on the picture.

Hello Baby

I made this card for this weeks Global Design Challenge but sadly didn't link it up in time but I still wanted to share it with you.  This week's challenge was a colour one: Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz.

I thought these soft subtle colours were perfect for a baby card. I used my Aquapainters to colour some watercolour paper with the three colours of ink, before punching out some hearts.  I coloured a larger piece to use as my mount.

I stamped some Whisper White card with Soft Sky ink using my Gorgeous Grunge stamp before adding some Silver Metallic Thread and the greeting which is from the Tin of Cards stamp set. I think the finished card would be perfect for a boy or girl don't you?

Mojo Monday 418

I haven't been around much the last few days after I hurt my back at the weekend. I've been relaxing and taking it easy although I did still manage to get a bit of crafting done and today I want to share my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge with you.

I have stayed true to the sketch except when it came to the stars, I have scattered mine across the card rather than keeping them to the left side as in the sketch.

I have used the Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper paired with some Gold Foil and Gold Cord, the trees are from the Wonderland set and were stamped with black Ink.
I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder onto a strip of vellum and wrapped it around the centre panel to secure.

I also added a touch of gold to the inside greeting.
Here is a list of supplies I've used to create this card which can be found in my online shop, just click on the image.

World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop

Welcome to another Pinkies Blog Hop! As it's World Card Making Day today, we hope everyone will get some time to craft, and we've created some lovely projects to help inspire you to create your own beautiful card. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Today's cards feature the Flurry of Wishes Bundle from the Holiday Catalogue. The girls in my card classes couldn't wait to get started on their Christmas cards so these are the cards we made in class last week.

For the first card I stamped the large snowflake images onto Whisper White card with Versamark and embossed with Silver Embossing powder and the smaller snowflakes with Soft Sky ink.

The sentiment has been stamped with Island Indigo ink. I matted the Whisper White onto Silver Foil Sheet and then onto Island Indigo card. The finishing touch was some Winter Wonderland Embellishments which are like little miniature snowflakes with a diamond in the centre.

The second card also has stamped snowflakes, this time I stamped with Island Indigo ink and punched the snowflakes out with the matching punch.

I created the back round by embossing  a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder before adding the snowflakes and greeting which is cut out from the Bitty Banners Die. I tied some Silver Cording Trim to the top of the card which picks up the silver from the Winter Wonderland Embellishments.

I hope you were inspired by my cards today and find even more inspiration as you continue onto Kim's blog to see what she has made.

Trick or Treat

For me one of the best things about the colder weather and darker nights is that Halloween isn't far away. I love Halloween and I've been busy buying decorations for the house for the past few weeks even though we have loads already.
Today I want to share these cute little Halloween treat boxes with you.

I love the detailed stamps of the Witches Night set and stamped  the Trick or Treat image with Basic Black ink before cutting out. I die cut some pillow boxes in Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive cardstock and stamped them with the matching inks and the Dots For Days stamp before adding a Spider Web Doily

I can't decide if I should make some more and give them out to the Trick or Treaters or keep them for the table at our Halloween party.

Here are the supplies I've used in this project, just click on the photo if you would like to purchase anything I've used.

Global Design Project #004

Good morning, the card I am sharing with you today is my entry into this week's Global Design Project #004. The challenge was to CASE (copy and share everything)  this beautiful card designed by Louise Sharp.
I wanted to create the idea of a hanging Christmas ornament and I did this by cutting out a circular frame from Gold Foil sheets which I layered over Very Vanilla card which had been stamped with the stamp from To You and Yours in Basic Black ink to give a silhouette effect.

To create the backround, I glued a piece of Winter Wonderland Gold Vellum onto Very Vanilla card and stamped the ornament hanger with Basic Black before adding a gold cord bow. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, which has been designed to co ordinate with the To You and Yours Shaker Card Kit but can be used by itself as I have done with this card.

Here is a list of the supplies I used to create this card. Just click on the picture to be taken to my online shop.

Mojo Monday 417

Today's card is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. I've used the Into the Woods Designer Series paper which is perfect for Autumn cards and projects, I've been using it on loads of projects the last few weeks.

Today I have paired it with some Rich Razzleberry cardstock and some acorns punched with the Acorn Builder punch. I added a wooden sentiment from the Expressions Natural Elements pack to finish. These wooden sentiments are great for cards and scrapbook pages as they can be used as they are or coloured with inks, markers or embossing powders to match your project.

Here is a list of the supplies I used for this project.
