Stampin Up! European Convention Day One

Well it's been a few days since I got back from Stampin Up's European Convention 2013 and I am still on a bit of a high after such an amazing fun weekend in the company of so many wonderfully talented ladies.

The three days that I spent in Manchester were completely crazy with lots of fun and inspiration.  I spent time with old friends and made lots of new ones as well. I flew over to Manchester on Thursday afternoon and checked into the beautiful Midland Hotel, where I was sharing a room with Nicole.

This is the main lobby and reception area, and below is our bedroom, although we spent very little time in it as there was just so much going on.

After dumping my bags off in our room it was straight over to the Convention Centre which was just across the road to register and collect my convention bag ( pics to follow later) which included lots of freebies.
The first thing on the agenda was the service project where we made some cards in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charity which provides "Home Away From Home" accommodation for families with children in hospital.

We just had time to squeeze in a quick class before heading back to the hotel for a drinks reception hosted by our team leader Michelle, which was probably the only time the whole team of over 80 ladies were together in one spot during convention. It was a great opportunity to catch up with some of the friends I'd met in Birmingham and Telford and exchange swaps(pics to follow later as well).
Nicole and I chatted into the early hours before falling asleep only to be awakened again by the alarm at 6.30am. More details of Convention to follow soon.

Until next time
Clare
