The featured stampset I used at this weeks card class was Wetlands. I absolutely adore this set, I think the images are so beautiful don't need a lot of embellishment so both cards are quite clean and simple.
This first card was made using a technique I saw one of my teammates, Nicky Dexter use. You can see her card here.

The backround was created by swiping the edge of the ink pad across the card which gives a lovely watercolour effect. I used Naturals Ivory card as the ink stays wet on it a bit longer, meaning if you're a bit heavy handed with the inkpad there is a bit of time to blend the ink in. The birds were stamped in Basic Black, and the reeds and greeting are Early Expresso.

Our second card used another image from the set, a goose which was stamped in Early Expresso. The reeds for this card were inked up using Stampin Write markers in So Saffron and Soft Suede. I am giving both these cards away on my Facebook page here, so why not pop over and enter?
