Intrducing NEW Cling Stamps!

At OnStage last week, Stampin' Up announced the introduction of Cling Stamps. If you've ever had trouble with stamps falling off your blocks, you're going to love this new style of stamp!
Starting with the new Spring catalogue in January, red rubber stamps will come with an adhesive image label that will cling like crazy to your clear blocks or Stamparatus plates every time!

Here's a little video to give you a better idea.
And a link to the PDF to show you how to assemble your new Cling stamps, it's really easy!

These stamps are super clingy so you just need to be careful when removing them. You need to lift them slightly at the edge to release the cling and the Take Your Pick tool from the Autumn/Winter catalogue is perfect for this. The spatula end is just right to help you remove your cling stamps.
These new style stamps won't be available until the catalogue launch in January, unless you buy the Starter Kit during December and join my team, then you can choose some of the Cling stamps as part of your kit!

New Catalogue Inspiration

One of the best things about attending Onstage is the opportunity to see and have a play with new products from the upcoming catalogue.
In Orlando, we created four make and takes with some new products which will be in the new Spring catalogue which will be available in January, with an extra one to make at home.
This first card is from the Needlepoint Nook suite, which is designed to give the look of handcrafted embroidery. It features the Needle and Thread stamp and dies, and coordinating Designer Series Paper. How lovely is the backround pattern created with one of the dies from the set?
This card is from the All My Love suite which has two stamp sets, dies, Designer Series Paper and some gorgeous embellishments. It features lots of hearts and flowers but is suitable for multiple occasions.
The Classic Garage suite was one of my favourites straight away, perfect for masculine cards and projects, it consists of a stamp set and dies, a 6"x 6" paper stack, ribbon and some cute metal embellishments. This went straight onto my wish list and would coordinate well with some of the stamps from the current Annual catalogue like One Wild Ride.
The Happiness Blooms suite is a floral themed mix of stamps and Designer Series Paper with a cute mini punch pack and some matching enamel dots, perfect for all projects.
This last card was one we were given to complete at home and the stamp set was in the goody bag we received at registration and is called Amazing Life. This is a great all round stamp with lots of sentiments for various occasions. Did you notice the Old Olive linen thread?

I will be sharing more projects soon as I have placed my pre-order and lots of new goodies will be winging their way to me this week.
In the meantime you can order products from the Autumn/Winter and Annual catalogue in my online shop, following the link below.

OnStage Swaps

Hello, I've just returned from Stampin' Up's Onstage convention in Orlando, Florida. It was the 30th anniversary of Stampin' Up so there were plenty of celebrations!
I took part in two swaps while I was away, the general swap and a smaller organised swap that my upline, Michelle organised with a fantastic American demo, Brian King and his team.
I received lots of stunning cards from those I swapped with which I will share with you another day, but today I'd like to share my swap designs with you.
My first swap used the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and is based on a design that I saw on Instagram.
I stamped some leaves with Berry Burst Ink on to some matching cardstock, then stamped the detailed leaf in the same manner with Versamark ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
I also embossed the sentiment of the card which is from the Botanical Bliss stamp set, which has the most beautiful fonts.

For my second card, I decided to use the All The Good Things stamp which is one of Stampin' Up's new DistINKtive style stamps which have been specially created to give depth and texture to the stamped image quickly and easily.
To stamp the fish, I wanted to use the baby wipe technique. I added a few drops of Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Early Expresso reinkers to a folded baby wipe to create a custom inkpad which I used to stamp the fish with.

One baby wipe was enough to stamp all 43 of my swaps and if you'd like to keep the baby wipe to use again, just pop it it a sandwich bag, making sure to keep it flat and it should be good to use again.

I cut the sentiment free from the rest of the image, and stamped it with Early Expresso ink. Cutting up stamps means they can be used together or separately, giving more versatility to the stamp set, so don't be afraid to try this with your own stamps.

The finishing touch to my card, which can't really be seen in the photo, was to dab some Frost White Shimmer Paint from the Autumn/Winter catalogue on to the fish to make them shimmer and shine.

I hope you enjoyed the projects I've shared with you today. All the items I've used can be found in my online shop, using the link below.

Say It With Colour

Recently Stampin' Up decided to change the design of their ink pads. The manufacturing mould that was currently in use was coming to the end of it's lifespan and Stampin' Up took the opportunity to improve on the existing design.

The new design ink pads:
  • are less confusing to open - just insert your thumb at the front and lift up, a bit like opening makeup
  • have a tighter fit between the lid and base - no leaking or drying out
  • are stackable - making them easier to store and transport
  • have improved stickers and labels - with a larger colour swatch on the cover and a label for the inside now included to help recognise the colour when the pad is open and reduce the risk of stamping the wrong colour
To coincide with the new case design, the formula of the ink has also been improved. The new formula includes defoamer to help reduce ink bubbles and help achieve a smoother image when stamping.

All refill bottles now include the new formula ink and can be used on both the new and old style inkpads although I wouldn't advise using old refills on the new style pads, they are still fine to use on the older model.

There are currently 53 colours in the Stampin' Up colour range, including the most current and on trend colours.

Over the next few weeks Stampin' Up will be celebrating all things colourful and invite you to share your creations online using the hashtag #SayItWithColour
